Which comes first....the lot or the house plan?

You can always design a home to fit into a landscape and fit the dimensions of the lot, but it is more difficult to alter the landscape to fit your specific predetermined house plans.  If you pick the house plans first, the configuration of rooms, placement of windows, the location of the driveway and many other design elements will be affected by the land you build on.

If you select the land without considering the size of house you want to build, you may be selecting a lot that is too large or worse too small.

When deciding on building a new house you need to take into consideration the location of where you want to build AND the size of home you want to build. This way you can have the best of both and find the right location for your perfect new home!
